PSL are delighted to welcome two new PSL TabCell & PSL CapCell High Containment Solutions for Tablet Presses and Capsule Fillers

PSL have developed a series of high containment isolator solutions to improve operator safety when feeding tablet presses and capsule filling machines.
The trend of increasingly potent compounds in drug development, requiring high containment applications, has recently been carried over to formulation and final packaging. Formulation tableting and encapsulation now require more stringent measures for operator protection due to their potency.

PSL have developed a patented design for retro-fitting high containment isolators to tablet presses and capsule fillers, enabling such machines to be used in a safe manner and conforming to the highest levels of operator exposure protection.

The ergonomic design of these systems enable operation, cleaning and maintenance without contaminating the working environment. The unique flexible quarter suit arrangement gives optimal and comfortable reach within the filling environment.

As with all pharmaceutical machinery safety is of prime concern. Safety interlocks and internal barriers ensure that moving parts cannot be accessed whilst the equipment is operational. The airflow management within the TabCell and CapCell was developed by PSL’s team of industry expert process engineers to provide a balanced environment.

The principles of design for the PSL TabCell and PSL CapCell can be adapted to accommodate customized requirements, the main benefit of this being that these systems can be retro-fitted to existing equipment already installed, providing a contained solution with minimum downtime.
