Milling is typically a very messy operation, creating a lot of dust and airborne material. Therefore contained milling solutions are becoming sought after when handling APIs and more potent powders.

PSL have development an array of contained milling solutions, some more suited to APIs, others more suited to formulation. Solutions should be selected based on criteria such as:

• Containment level required
• Number of mills used in a process
• Space available

Two of our most popular contained milling solutions are as follows:

Universal Milling Isolator
This innovative design is perfect when multiple mills are required for a single product / process. Mills are mounted onto interchangeable mobile skids for quick and easy change over, these can then be used independently from the isolator for less potent compounds. The ergonomic “L” shaped window has plenty of room for mills to be changed, stripped and cleaned within the isolator.

Mobile Milling Station
This simple mobile solution incorporates a skid mounted control panel and mill with PSL ChargePoint inlet and continuous liner drum filling system, providing a cost effect and versatile solution.
